Underlying Technology for Cassatt Active Response

The Cassatt Active Response product line allows administrators to set policies to turn servers off and on, apply policies to pool all server resources, and invoke policies to prioritize the delivery of applications. The underlying technology in Cassatt Active Response that makes it safe to turn servers off and on is called Active Power Management.

Cassatt Active Power Management technology uses a sophisticated policy engine that takes into account server priorities and needs, server interrelationships, application dependencies and relationships, and individual server power consumption in deciding when to power-down and power-up machines.
